Poetry | Julija Kaselj

Crab Comfort

For a while gut feeling tastes sweet sour
dipped in neutrals
white, grey, black
allow me space for safety
of stillness in photograph
as this body takes place in another era
Edwardian sockets
Renaissance teeth
Sumerian posture
history consumes in neutrals
allows me space for safety
in outlined edges of time
it passes
as you bite into sticky flesh of a cloud
chew full and swallow sky
to your depth
until whiteness absents
blue delves in moon core
form a shape of pure existence
